No matter what you are in the mood for, chances are that you will find it at one of these eateries.

After a long weekend of service, many restaurants close on Mondays to take a well-deserved break. 

But if you’re in desperate need for a restaurant-cooked meal on a Monday, you’re in luck — some of Pittsburgh’s best spots are open for Monday dining, with options that include everything from Southern fried chicken sandwiches at Coop De Ville to pork belly Hung Lay at Pusadee’s Garden. 

Here’s a sampling of what’s open. And, as things are constantly changing with all restaurants right now, be sure to call ahead to make sure that their listed hours are current. 

Kaya
Enjoy island cuisine at Kaya in the Strip District every Monday from 4 to 9 p.m., with the restaurant’s last seating at 8:45 p.m. Happy Hour at Kaya is from 4 to 6 p.m., with half off mojitos, grapefruit basil margaritas and beer on tap.

The Commoner
Downtown
The Commoner, located in the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh, is open on Mondays from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. for breakfast (with French Toast, prosciutto omelets and breakfast sandwiches), and for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. The restaurant is open for indoor dining; to-go and delivery orders can be placed online.

Butterjoint
After a long stretch as a takeout-only restaurant, Butterjoint is back with in-person dining on Monday nights from 4:30 to 10 p.m., with the bar open until 11 p.m. Takeout is available on Mondays from 4:30 to 9 p.m., and orders can be placed online.

Pusadee’s Garden
Pusadee’s Garden is open on Mondays with a first seating at 5 p.m., and a last seating at 9:30 p.m. Reservations are available for indoor dining, and their (lovely) garden and patio space is open when the weather is nice, with priority for seats given to those who have reservations.

Coop De Ville
Not only can you get coffee from Coop De Ville’s walk-up coffee bar starting at 7 a.m. on Mondays, but its main dining room is open on Mondays for lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a menu featuring Southern-style dishes such as biscuits with apricot jam, Nashville-style fried chicken sandwiches and pimento mac & cheese. Coop De Ville’s arcade room, with duckpin bowling and pinball machines, is also open Mondays from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Bae Bae’s Kitchen
You can enjoy the Korean-inspired menu at Bae Bae’s Kitchen (featuring build-your-own bowls, Korean fried chicken, kimchi and more) every Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. It’s open for dine-in and pickup for takeout.

Mediterra Cafe
Both the Sewickley and Mt. Lebanon locations are open on Mondays, serving breakfast and lunch (and fresh-baked baked goods) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Mondays, Spork in Garfield is open for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. The restaurant’s ever-changing menu features dishes made with vegetables from their own garden, plus house-made pasta and house-cured meats. Spork has recently relaxed its vaccination policy and does not require proof of vaccines on Mondays.
