What are some strategies for revising copy to better align with your brand voice?
I think it's most important that you stay authentic. Don't try to change your brand voice to fit what you think it should be. For example, just because you are an industry expert (or want to seem like you are one), it doesn't mean your copy needs to be "stiff" or full of jargon.

Every year LocalShops1 celebrates its birthday by honoring the businesses and people at the forefront of the buy local movement. This year's award ceremony will be held on Aug 7, 2014 at the St. Petersburg Museum of History. The awards consist of a nominations period, voting by public and select judges and culminated in a banquet award ceremony.
Awards will be given in the following categories: Best Established Business, Best New Business, Best at Grassroots Marketing and Most Community…Every year LocalShops1 celebrates its birthday by honoring the businesses and people at the forefront of the buy local movement. This was the first St. Petersburg mayoral forum after the primaries. Bill Foster (incumbant) and Rick Kriseman (challenger) fielded questions from a panel of experts and community representatives. All questions centered around issues facing the local small business community.
The event received television and print coverage from all major media outlets in the area.
The event was produced by USF St. Petersburg and LocalShops1, and sponsored by USFSP Bishop Center for Ethical…This was the first St. Petersburg mayoral forum after the primaries.
