Join the ICN Youth Council!

Are you a dedicated, creative, and spirited individual looking to make a positive impact in your community? ICN Youth is seeking passionate young people (18 & up) to join our volunteer-run council. Together, we create and maintain spaces that foster spiritual growth, meaningful friendships, and a strong connection to the Muslim community.

We offer a variety of teams to match your interests and skills:

Girls’ & Boys’ Heartbeats Team

This program is tailored for middle school students (6th–8th grade) and focuses on nurturing positive growth, mentorship, and relationship-building in a relaxed and engaging environment. Through interactive learning experiences such as discussions, group activities, and fun workshops, this team helps middle schoolers explore their potential. Volunteers will have the opportunity to guide the youth in developing self-confidence and instilling a sense of purpose while emphasizing the value of their unique contributions to the community.

Girls’ & Boys’ Revival Team

Designed specifically for high school students (9th–12th grade), this team is focused on fostering meaningful, lifelong connections while providing mentorship from peers who understand the high school experience. The team creates a supportive and inclusive environment where students can grow both personally and socially. Activities include thought-provoking discussions, collaborative projects, creative workshops, and community-building events. Volunteers will play a key role in helping high schoolers navigate challenges, develop leadership skills, and strengthen their connection to the Muslim community

1439 Team

Targeted toward college students and young professionals, this program emphasizes reflection, personal growth, and legacy-building. Inspired by over 1439 years of Islamic history, the program explores the contributions of Islamic role models and brings them into a modern context. Volunteers will brainstorm thought-provoking topics, plan impactful discussions, guest speakers and organize events that inspire participants to think critically about their own legacies. This team offers a chance to contribute to intellectual and spiritual growth while exploring diverse avenues of self-development.

Marketing Team

This team focuses on creating content and managing communication channels to engage the broader community. Responsibilities include graphic design, social media management, creating flyers, sending text reminders, and maintaining website updates. Volunteers with experience in content creation or a passion for creativity will find this team a perfect fit. Through innovative strategies and visually compelling designs, this team ensures that ICN Youth's initiatives reach and resonate with the community effectively.

Impact Team

This quarterly service team organizes community-focused projects such as food drives, winter kits, homeless outreach, refugee services, and collaborations with other organizations. Volunteers will have the chance to design and execute meaningful service initiatives that address pressing community needs. By joining this team, you’ll help foster a culture of compassion and civic responsibility while building relationships with other like-minded organizations.

The Amal Program

This program is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health within the community. Volunteers will help create educational content for infographics, develop mental health programs, and participate in initiatives that break stigmas surrounding mental well-being. Individuals with a background or interest in mental health will find this program particularly rewarding as they contribute to promoting emotional resilience and understanding in the community.

Health & Wellness Team

For those passionate about fitness and health, this team promotes wellness through programs such as sisters-only/brothers-only workout sessions, outdoor hikes, and health education events. Volunteers will have the opportunity to inspire youth to embrace an active lifestyle and adopt healthy habits. This team also organizes informative sessions that empower participants to make choices that support their physical and mental well-being. (i.e. workout classes, 5K runs, partnerships with orgs)

Special Events Team

This team plans and executes a variety of spiritual, social, recreational, and career-focused events. From organizing Eid celebrations and career workshops to planning retreats and interfaith programs, volunteers will gain experience in event planning and collaboration. This team also works with other organizations and masajid to host large-scale seminars and community events, making it a great opportunity for those who enjoy planning and networking

Podcast Team

The Podcast Team will oversee the entire production process to ensure the podcast is engaging, professional, and impactful. They will manage the technical setup for recording sessions, including microphones and soundproofing, to deliver clear, crisp audio quality during interviews or discussions. Their editing responsibilities include polishing raw recordings by removing background noise, unnecessary pauses, and errors while seamlessly integrating music, sound effects, and transitions to create a cohesive and immersive listening experience. The team will also collaborate on creative direction by brainstorming themes, structuring episodes, and maintaining a consistent tone and branding that aligns with your vision. Additionally, they will handle the technical aspects of production, such as audio mixing, mastering, and formatting episodes for distribution across platforms.
