MEET OUR TEAM

Hi Crew! My name is Ann, and I am an instructor and front-desk manager at SPENGA Charlotte-South End. My SPENGA journey began in 2020, when I became a member. I loved the combination of WERKouts and the community was unmatched. Two years later in the Fall of 2022, I realized that my passion for SPENGA had transformed, and I decided to become an instructor. I taught my first session on January 2, 2023 and have never looked back! I truly can’t imagine my life without SPENGA. It has taught me so many things and brought me so many friends. I have learned to embrace my strengths and get stronger (mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally) each and every day.

Being able to bring choreography and music to life at SPENGA is amazing. I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue growing here! In my sessions you’ll find SoundCloud remixes, house music heaters, country tunes, and even more. Nine times out of ten I’m sporting a matching set. As funny as it sounds, it’s always motivated me! When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, you look good.

Outside of the SPENGA studio, I also work remotely as a content strategist for Industry Dive, a full-fledged business journalism publisher and content marketing studio, studioID. As a Charlotte native, you can find me exploring every new restaurant and wine bar in the city, baking treats and sweets, and walking with my boyfriend, Harrison, and our dog, Brewer. Can’t wait to see y’all on and off the bike!

Hey Crew! My name is Emma and I joined the team at SPENGA in 2022! My journey started as a student in college, finding not just a physical but emotional outlet through fitness. My background consisted of yoga and strength training. After one class at SPENGA I was completely obsessed, and within months I was instructing my first session. In SPENGA I found the most supportive and inspirational group of people. I found role models, friends, and family. I wake up and am excited to go to work every day. It doesn’t matter where you are in your fitness journey, because here we WERK together. A huge supporter of wearing bright prints and colors, listening to LOUD music, and doing something for you. In my session you can expect EDM music, heavy climbs, and a little extra time in surrender. Can’t wait to WERK with you soon!
What’s up crew! My name is AC or Anne-Catherine and I am an instructor and front desk manager at SPENGA Charlotte - South End. I was first introduced to SPENGA by a friend who brought me to my first session. I immediately fell in love with the entire experience and joined as an unlimited member in June 2021. I started attending 4+ sessions a week and soon enough, I knew I HAD to become a part of the team. I started as a front desk manager in January of 2022, learning the ins and outs of how the SPENGA team works together to create an amazing experience for each and every member, while also working on my Group Fitness Instructor certification at the same time. I became an instructor in May of 2022, and I love meeting every new person that comes through our doors. I grew up as a dancer and love using my ability to put together playlists and choreography to keep my sessions upbeat, fun, and challenging! I am now the self proclaimed "BANGERS ONLY QUEEN”, you’ll find absolute heaters on every playlist I create!! SPENGA is the first gym that I have ever worked for, and I have learned so much and continue to learn each and every day from members and fellow employees. I also love taking sessions alongside members and being able to get to know them inside and outside of the studio! SPENGA has brought so many wonderful people into my life, we really have a special crew. When I’m not at the studio (which is quite rare), I work at a dental office called West Charlotte Dental! I love spending time outside, enjoying time with friends, or spending some time with my cat, Winnie. Catch y’all around the studio!
Hey SPENGA Crew! My name is Emily and I am the Lead Instructor for SPENGA Charlotte - South End. I began my SPENGA journey back in 2020 when the Charlotte location first opened and have been movin’ and groovin’ with ya’ll ever since.

Before SPENGA, I had worked in the fitness industry in some capacity since I was a teenager. I grew up as a competitive dancer and taught at my local studio which had led me to pursue a degree in exercise science and rehabilitation studies from Northeastern University. While living in Boston, I had managed gyms and boutique studios before my career brought me to Charlotte in 2019. Once the pandemic hit, I knew I needed to get back into the fitness world, obtained my NASM CPT, and the rest is history!

I have loved werking with all of you these past 3 years and every time I mic up cannot wait to RIDE. REP. REVIVE. with each person who walks through our studio doors. You have made SPENGA home 💚

When not at the studio, you can catch me teaching chemistry to my 10th grade class, hanging out with my kittens, or hopping around Charlotte checking out all the new breweries, coffee shops, and restaurants.

Hey Fam, I’m Lorrie! I’ve worked at SPENGA Charlotte since its opening day and have loved it ever since. In 2020 my husband and I moved from Atlanta to Charlotte mid pandemic. I was looking for a space to grow my wings as a fitness instructor. When I saw SPENGA had spin, strength, and yoga I was completely bought in.

In each session I strive to create an atmosphere that is safe, fun, and challenging. I will give you options to add spice or adjust if you’re not loving something. I’m a NASM certified personal trainer and Mad Dogg spin certified. My music taste varies from a good beat drop, to Latin music (I’m Puerto Rican, it’s in my blood), to the classic millennial 2000s hits.

When I’m not at SPENGA, I am most likely running around after my toddler (and husband). We LOVE food, Charlotte FC games, and being an active fam.

I can’t wait to WERK with you and get you to your fitness goals! Let’s get it Fam.

Hey Spenga crew, I’m Jody! I have been participating in group fitness for many years and began my teaching journey in September 2020 when Spenga Charlotte opened.

Over the past 3 years at Spenga I have continued to strengthen my skills as an instructor, leading Revive sessions, gaining my NASM personal training certification, and instructing over 1,000 sessions. My love for this job continues to grow and I am lucky enough to call fitness instructing my full time profession, all thanks to my foundation at Spenga!

Teaching fitness allows me to express myself and grow relationships with individuals who allow me to guide them on their fitness journey. It is my mission to make you all feel strong, empowered and confident in your body and have fun doing it! See you all in the studio!
